Beschrijving
Wageningen University & Research (WUR) plans to invest in a new high-performance mass spectrometer for the targeted quantification of plant hormones and untargeted plant metabolomics studies. This equipment will be installed in the Plant Physiology laboratory of the Plant Sciences Group (PSG) at WUR, but it will also serve the needs of other research groups within WUR. The chosen mass spectrometer is noted for its unique features, which include high sensitivity and mass resolution, versatility, speed and efficiency, bio-compatibility, ease of maintenance, a comprehensive software package, and a compact design. The technology offers high sensitivity, detecting molecules at very low concentrations, and high mass resolution with exceptional accuracy. This combination allows for both untargeted and targeted analysis in a single instrument, making it suitable for a wide range of applications across various research lines. The instrument’s high scan speed is independent of resolution, and it features fast polarity switching. The entire flow-path is bio-compatible, preventing interactions with stainless steel.
