Beschrijving
The Ministry of Defence of the Netherlands (MODNL) has initiated the replacement and modernisation of its operational wheeled vehicles. Next to the programme DVOW, the programme WTB (which is a Dutch acronym for Wissellaadsystemen, Trekker-opleggercombinaties and WielBergingsvoertuigen) has commenced. This programme focuses around the replacement of Hooklift trucks including associated trailers, Heavy equipment transporters and Recovery trucks. As part of the programme WTB, the MODNL has initiated the replacement of associated systems to the Hooklift trucks. The pool of load carriers consist of flatracks and containers in support of storage, handling and distribution of several product groups, such as food, ammunition and fuel. Hereafter these systems shall be referred to as ‘Physical Distribution’ (PD) Systems. These specified PD Systems are an essential part in executing the operational and tactical supply chain. They are interchangeable on the Hooklift trucks and designed as per the ISO 20ft standard.
