Description
Staffordshire County Council (SCC), on behalf of the Strategic Coordinating Group (SCG), is looking to commission the independent production of a Community Impact Study. Its primary aim is to help partners to understand the health, social and economic impacts of the air pollution and associated disruption, which has resulted from the operation of the Walleys Quarry landfill operation during the period since January 2021. This shared evidence-base will be used by partners across Staffordshire to inform future action and ongoing management of the landfill site, support engagement with central government on the issue of Walley's Quarry, as well as drawing lessons learned to inform the management of future incidents. The Impact Assessment will not only provide an assessment of those key impacts on the community at a point in time, but also consider the future for the local community.
