Description
Urgent Access Hub Reading Prior Information Notice NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB is looking to commission a Same Day Urgent Access Hub in Reading. The aim of the service is to improve same day access in Berkshire West through the provision of a primary care-led service located at Royal Berkshire Hospital. The service will provide a seamless transition between in and out of hours services and treat patients directed to the service from multiple sources including NHS 111 services, referral from primary care, self-presenters and from the Emergency Department at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. The level of clinical service provided will be comparable to the service received by patients attending general practice primary care settings. Details regarding the expected service arrangements are set out in the service specification. This is a market engagement exercise. The ICB is seeking the views of healthcare providers for this service using a market engagement questionnaire.
