Description
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (the "Authority") delivers acute hospital services across two major district general hospitals: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH) and Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH). The Authority provides healthcare services to a population of approximately 641,000 residents, spanning seven locality areas: South Cotswolds, North Cotswolds, Cheltenham, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, and Stroud & Berkeley Vale. This Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) relates to the transfer, handling, storage and/ or final disposition of deceased individuals of all ages, including adults, children, infants, neonates, stillbirths and foetal remains, across all Authority Sites. The services must be delivered in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the deceased and Family Representatives, and upholds the highest standards of dignity, respect, and sensitivity. This services encompasses the following key components: • Transport of Deceased Patients. • Hospital Funeral Services. • Foetal Cremation Services. • Storage for Deceased Persons under Special Circumstances.
