Description
South Lanarkshire Council are looking to notify the market of a potential future contract opportunity to deliver a singleton residential childcare placement within the Central Belt of Scotland. The current placement is nearing its end, so an alternative arrangement is required in a timely manner with the aim of completing the transition to a new home within 3 months from contract award. The young person, female 16 years old, requires a singleton residential care placement. It is anticipated that continuing care placement up to the age of 21 years will be required. The young person is autistic. She presents with emotional and behavioural difficulties, which have been understood in relation to early attachment disturbance and complex PTSD. She also has a diagnosis of ADHD, although she is not accepting of this. The council is flexible on the model for the residential care and has considered three possible models for delivery of this contract but would be open to other suitable models.
