Description
Portsmouth City Council via its Social landlord identity - Portsmouth Homes, holds within its Local Authority Housing stock, approximately 1200 properties which provide Sheltered Accommodation to some of the city's most vulnerable residents, this stock is dispersed across multiple locations within the PO1 - PO9 postcode area. The purpose of Sheltered Housing provided by Portsmouth Homes, is to provide Accommodation and support where needed, allowing our residents to remain independent and safe in their homes for as long as possible. As part of this service provision, all residents receiving the Sheltered Housing service have the means to raise assistance via a hard wired (i.e not dispersed alarm) warden call system when needed - this assistance is primarily provided by Portsmouth City Council staff, with an Alarm Receiving Centre monitoring calls during a set period of time, or in the event that Portsmouth Homes staff cannot be reached, raising a response as per an agreed response protocol, and ensuring accurate and timely notification to Portsmouth Homes, of demand received.
