Description
NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB is commissioning planned (elective) inpatient and day case surgery and associated outpatient and diagnostic services in addition to cardiology services to ensure that supply meets the demands of our ageing population, that Service Users can choose a provider that most suits their individual needs, that quality and safety are central to provision and that the service does not adversely impact the ability to deliver local comprehensive services. The Commissioner is directly awarding, following direct award B accreditation process, a contract to Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital in accordance with the criteria outlined in Regulation (9) of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The contract term is 10 months with no option to extend. The 10-month contract period commenced on the 1st June 2024. This procurement has been carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner.
