Description
The Police & Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire on behalf of Warwickshire Police is conducting a market engagement exercise to better understand options for the provision of vehicle recovery and associated services across the county of Warwickshire and gauge what kind of appetite there is in the vehicle recovery community to consider bidding for the new services in early summer 2025. The vehicle recovery operator will recover, store and at the Authority's sole discretion, dispose of, illegally, dangerously or obstructively parked, broken down, collision damaged, abandoned and stolen motor vehicles, together with vehicles seized by police under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 or Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Section 152 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005, usually at no cost to Warwickshire. The service is currently divided into 3 Lots across the county. Lot 1 Covers the north of the county, Lot 2 Rugby and Lot 3 the South. The current contract expires in June 2025.
