Description
Odiham Community Interest Company has been formed as a community project to save the local village pub. We have raised funds to repair and renovate the Bell by selling shares to the local community and a grant from the Community Ownership Fund. We seek competitive quotations from responsible companies with significant experience in sensitively repairing and renovating grade 2 listed buildings for Phase 1 Repair and Renovation, and indicative prices for Phase 2 Alteration and Conversion of The Bell. Phase 1 of our works includes Repair and Renovation of The Bell and is to be complete and paid by 22 March 2025. Time is of the essence for this Phase of work. Phase 2 of our works includes Alteration and Conversion of The Bell and is to be completed as soon as practicable following receipt of relevant listed buildings consent and planning permission. The Bell pub in Odiham stands opposite All Saints Church in an area called The Bury, tucked behind the High Street. Originally licensed in 1509, it is one of the oldest pubs in Hampshire and has reportedly been the site of brewing since the Domesday Book. The Bell has been empty for several years.
