Description
The Violence Prevention Youth Health Champions Programme is a workforce development and community prevention initiative designed to strengthen violence prevention knowledge, leadership and peer-led health improvement across the Humber region. The programme combines practitioner upskilling, trainer development and youth engagement to create a sustainable model for delivering violence prevention education within communities. The programme has three connected components: 1. Level 3 Award in Violence Prevention and Reduction (VPR) for Operational Leads 2. Train the Trainer Programme 3. Delivery of the Level 2 Violence Prevention Youth Health Champions qualification Together, these elements develop practitioner expertise, build local capacity and empower young people to act as advocates for violence prevention. The intervention follows a structured, nationally recognised curriculum delivered through the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) accredited qualifications.
