Description
Direct Award to deliver support within supported accommodation to vulnerable adults (over 18) who are currently /or at risk of becoming homeless to prepare for independent living within a settled accommodation setting. The service objectives shall be to: • prepare Service Users for independent living with the aim to be living without support • reduce the number of Service Users who having previously stayed in supported accommodation; subsequently find themselves in need of such services again- 'repeat Service Users' • facilitate a quicker journey through supported accommodation to regain independence • work closely in partnership with agencies including police, probation services, children's services, home treatment team and others in order to maximise the effectiveness of the scheme • provide anti-discriminatory services offering equal opportunities in all areas of practice • be accountable for the Services provided through regular consultation with Service Users and other stakeholders and participate in quality assurance systems • reduce the risk of the development of additional barriers to becoming independent for Service Users during stays in supported accommodation …
