Description
The Public Health Early Years Service provides mandated elements of the Government's Healthy Child Programme from preconception to a child being age five including support for their parents/carers. The service also provides Breastfeeding Peer Support and Oral Health Promotion Services. Health Visiting provides a proactive universal and targeted service to support individuals and vulnerable groups and to protect and promote health and wellbeing and reduce inequalities. The Borough Council of Calderdale intends to award this contract to the existing provider of the service, Locala, following Direct Award Process C. Locala will deliver the requirements of the Healthy Child Programme from preconception - a child bring 5 years old and their families. Also this will include Breastfeeding Peer Support and Oral Health Promotion Services. The service will provide universal and targeted health promotion, prevention and early intervention activity taking into account families' needs and preferences.
