The ONS has wide-ranging and ongoing requirements to provide detailed information on business activity within the UK. The variables included in this procurement are of interest in the transformation of ONS' financial, business, and international surveys, including foreign direct investment, construction, financial accounts, and international business. The procurement of this data will enhance the quality of economic statistics by improving our knowledge of company structures and information about global investment, providing more robust company information held on our business registers. The provision of this information also reduces the burden on survey respondents and the associated survey costs. Requirements for this data come from a wide range of business areas across ONS, such as: Foreign Direct Investment, Construction Output and Development, Statistical Business Register, Financial Sectors and International Development, Economic Microdata Transformation, and International Analysis.
