Description
The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to assist the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in early engagement with the market. This market engagement is intended to serve as a fact-finding exercise only. Routes to market are still being considered and there is a strong likelihood that the Crown Commercial Service “Open Banking (Data, Digital Payments & Confirmation of Payee Services)” Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) will be used, however this is subject to change. More information on the above DPS can be found at the following address: https://www.crowncommercial.gov.uk/agreements/RM6301 Background DVLA maintains the records of 50 million drivers and 40 million vehicles in the UK. We collect £7 billion a year in vehicle tax and process over 77 million transactions a year. Our online services offer card payments for customers and our online Electronic Vehicle Licensing (EVL) service to pay for Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) also provides Direct Debit as a payment method.
