Prior Information Notice (PIN) The purpose of this PIN is to maximise transparency and competition for the upcoming tender being carried out via the Crown Commercial Services RM6313 Demand Management & Renewables Dynamic Purchasing (DPS) System. https://www.crowncommercial.gov.uk/agreements/RM6313 All details in this PIN are subject to updates or change. It is not a formal invitation to tender. Procurement / Project Information Project Wren Scope: The Whitehall District Heating System (WDHS) is currently powered by 4 large boilers and supplies heat to 17 Buildings across Whitehall in London. Project WREN (Whitehall Renewable Energy Network), aims to provide enabling works to potentially decarbonise the WDHS in future years to come. Project WREN will reduce the operating temperature from 145 degrees to 95 degrees and introduce a variable flow rate across the system; to achieve this the project will need to replace 49 Plate Heat Exchangers across 24 plant rooms in 11 buildings, as well as carrying out some modifications to the primary side pumps within the main boiler house.
