The purpose of this PIN is to inform market operators of a potential future exercise to procure services supporting the development of a Citizens Jury. HI NENC wishes to engage a third-party organisation with a proven experience in delivering deliberative engagement, to support the organisation through a citizens jury process, with the aim of influencing policy making with regard to opioid prescriptions and pain management. Citizens' juries are a form of deliberative consultation that involves randomly selected citizens, often representing a diverse cross-section of society, coming together to discuss and deliberate on complex societal issues. Citizens' juries aim to provide a more inclusive and informed decision-making process by way of channelling input from informed public opinion. During the jury process participants have the opportunity to learn about the issue at hand, engage in thoughtful discussions, and consider the range of various stakeholder viewpoints.
