Description
To commission a provider/consortium to deliver a practice supervisor and systemic skills for social workers development programme, (including Trauma Informed Care, Action Learning Sets for Anti-discriminatory Practice, and Interprofessional Learning). Social work is a key profession to meet the need for growth in the workforce related to the NHS Long term Plan and the MHA reforms with significant DHSC investment in fast-track training routes and AMHP training. The practice supervisor programme underpins the Adult social work post-qualifying standards: knowledge and skills statement - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) which aims to drive up standards for the delivery of professional supervision which has been found to support staff retention, safe practice and upskilling of social workers. Enabling social workers to use their advanced systemic skills is a key part of increasing the productivity of the current workforce and ensuring the growing workforce is retained.
