1. Introduction Purpose of the Specification This specification sets out the requirements for the delivery and operation of an on-site Alternative Provision (AP) at The East Manchester Academy, to be managed by an external provider. The aim is to support pupils at risk of exclusion or those who require a more tailored educational environment to re-engage with learning and improve outcomes. Background The East Manchester Academy (TEMA) is a mainstream secondary school with approximately 1050 pupils, located in Beswick, Manchester. We are committed to inclusion and early intervention to support all learners. The school has identified a need for a dedicated on-site AP to cater for up to 20 pupils who struggle to access mainstream education. 2. Scope of Requirements Service Description We require an experienced, suitably qualified provider to design, deliver, and manage an on-site alternative provision. This will involve: Providing structured education, pastoral care, and behaviour support for up to 20 pupils aged 11-16. Operating during standard school hours and term times.
