Description
The contracting authority intends to procure a suitably qualified contractor (or consortium) to deliver the design, build, and installation of two solar photovoltaic (PV) installations located at Oakdale Road Solar Farm and Chisenhale Street Solar Farm. The project forms part of the authority's wider strategy to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy resilience, and increase the proportion of locally generated renewable energy across its estate. The appointed supplier will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of both sites, including design development, procurement of equipment, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning. The scope of services is expected to include, but not be limited to: Site Assessment and Surveys: Undertake detailed site investigations, including topographical, geotechnical, and electrical assessments, to inform design and delivery. Design and Engineering: Development of detailed designs for solar PV arrays, mounting systems, inverters, grid connection infrastructure, and associated electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant UK standards and regulations.
