Non-destructive inspection of redundant flasks

Description

This PIN is to inform the supply chain that Sellafield Ltd are seeking a technological solution or solutions that will enable them to identify the contents and activity levels of redundant large heavily shielded containers (flasks) without moving, opening, or damaging them. Interested technology providers should complete and submit a Game Changers application via the Game Changers website (www.gamechangers.technology). The challenge is open to any organisation who feel they can meet the technical requirements. The closing date for applications will be 26th February 2024. Interested organisations should note that the issue of this PIN may not result in a full procurement exercise being conducted. The outcome of the Game Changers challenge will determine whether a full procurement exercise will follow. We would therefore encourage any organisation that has the capability, knowledge and experience in techniques that can be used to inspect and perform radiological characterisation on the inside of closed containers to respond to this PIN and visit the Game Changers (https://www.gamechangers.technology/) website for further information on this Game Changers challenge.
