Description
North of England Commissioning Support (NECS ) is a care system support organisation working for and on behalf of NHS England - North West Specialised Commissioning and NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board - (Lead ICB), NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, and NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (the Relevant Authorities), who undertook a competition to commission a Host Organisation - to deliver and manage the North West Adult Critical Care Transfer Service. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Contract Award Notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 did not apply to this award. The contract term was for a period of 5 years. The Host Organisation contract was to be awarded by November 2024, and full mobilisation of the service would have been confirmed in line with the awarded Host Organisation's mobilisation plan (phase 5 - go live).This was anticipated to be between 1st April 2025 and 30th September 2025, notwithstanding any supply issues to mobilise the service.
