Description
BNSSG ICB is seeking to fund the delivery of a poverty awareness and action programme for our local NHS workforce. The intended outcomes from this programme are that: - The BNSSG NHS workforce becomes more aware of the health and care-related impacts of poverty and what can be done to address this. - NHS services improve their ability to reach and respond to those who are facing financial hardship. - Through this, we improve patient outcomes and reduce inequalities. Based on feedback from our providers, we are seeking to fund a model that offers the following: 1. Training: A one-hour introduction to poverty awareness and action. This awareness raising session will be offered online and will be available to all local NHS staff and provided online 2. A 'champions' programme: to include more in-depth training and support for champions to put this learning into practice through making changes in roles/services. The programme will be offered to a small number of identified workforce across our local NHS organisations including acute trusts, Primary Care and other providers. 3.
