***** THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION ***** This procurement is being concluded following a mini competition under the CCS RM6126 Research & Insights DPS. Brief Description of Requirement The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ; formally BEIS) would like to run an evaluation of the £65m Met Office Hadley Centre Climate Programme (MOHCCP). This will be the first HM Government (HMG)-commissioned quantitative evaluation of this climate programme. DESNZ places high importance on independent impact evaluation and considers this a priority area. Project outputs will enable the Department to ensure the MOHCCP delivers value for HMG spend. Established in 1990, the Met Office Hadley Centre is one of the world's foremost climate research centres. It provides a significant contribution to the UK's climate science capability, alongside the leading science produced by research centres and academic institutions across the UK. The MOHCCP provides HMG with timely, robust and policyrelevant evidence and advice on issues relating to climate science.
