Description
Oxfordshire County Council’s Public Health will be commissioning a new service to offer holistic health MOT checks to employees across Oxfordshire. Recognising that health is multifaceted, this initiative aims to adopt a holistic approach—going beyond cardiovascular checks to address a broad spectrum of health concerns including mental health, financial wellbeing, smoking, musculoskeletal disorders, and drug and alcohol misuse. Early identification of these issues can significantly reduce the long-term impact on individuals and organisations. By offering timely support and signposting to appropriate services, the Health MOT Checks aim to prevent escalation, reduce absenteeism, and foster a healthier, more resilient workforce. Accessibility is a key benefit of this service. The Health MOT Checks will be taken to the workplace, either by utilising a space on site or delivered via a mobile unit, the Health MOTs will be brought directly to employees at their place of work, ensuring equitable access particularly for smaller or more rural workplaces.
