Description
BLC are exploring a national approach to the supply of legally compliant services that meets the evolving needs of police forces and other agencies, following the classification of Nitrous Oxide Gas as a prohibited Class C Drug in November 2023. This Preliminary Market Engagement is to better understand the market, supplier appetite, capacity, and capability, as well as perceived risks and opportunities. The aim is to ensure all forces and agencies have access to the most cost effective, reliable, and compliant disposal services for the Nitrous Oxide Gas and / or the confiscated cannisters, full or empty. For Information only, the proposed Framework will consist of the following Lots. Lot 1 – A FULL SERVICE (End to End Provision of Facilities and Services for Collection, Transportation, Storage and Disposal of Full, Partially discharged, Nominally empty and Empty Nitrous Oxide Canisters).
