Description
City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is holding a market engagement event for an upcoming tender to deliver Supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to Support Smoking Cessation Across Bradford District. City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) operates a dispersed smoking cessation model whereby smokers can access support within Bradford District via The Living Well Stop Smoking Service, Yorkshire Cancer Research and participating GP practices and pharmacies. This service offer includes behavioural support via Level 2 stop smoking practitioners using a 12-week personalised quit plan. This service can also provide Prescription Only Medications (POMs) through a Prescriber service, nicotine replacement products currently through level 1 pharmacies and nicotine-containing e-cigarettes (vapes) via an independent supplier. The Prescription Only Medications, guided by NICE, are: • Cytisinicline • Varenicline • Bupropion City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council are updating their stop smoking model to change how Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is supplied to service users as a part of The Living Well Stop Smoking Service.
