Description
Northern Trains Limited (NTL) intends to procure a contract for the provision of Legionella Management Services across its estate. The proposed procurement seeks to appoint a single supplier to deliver a comprehensive Legionella management and water hygiene service across NTL's stations, depots, train care centres, offices, sidings and operational facilities. The overarching objective is to ensure compliance with statutory obligations, Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8, HSG274 guidance and Northern's internal health and safety requirements, whilst reducing operational, regulatory and reputational risks associated with Legionella bacteria and water hygiene management. The successful supplier will deliver a fully integrated service covering Legionella risk assessments, reviews of existing assessments, development and maintenance of Written Schemes of Control, water hygiene monitoring, routine sampling and testing, laboratory analysis, compliance auditing, technical consultancy, training and incident response support.
