Description
The College of Science and Engineering, University of Derby are seeking to purchase a large area solar simulator for our new science laboratory. Our anticipated budget is £150,000.00 which should include any fees for maintenance and servicing. Requirement: The solar simulator must be capable of providing a 1 sun power output with a spectral match covering a target area of 2 x 1 m. The specifications for the solar simulator should adhere to the standards set by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC 60904-9:2020 Classification of solar simulator characteristics). Detailed Specifications: · The solar simulator should be able to cover a target area of 2 x 1 meters. · The solar simulator should be capable of delivering a typical power output of 1000 watts per square meter over the working distance · The recommended working distance between the solar simulator and the target area is 1 meter · The collimation angle of the solar simulator should be within +/-10 degrees. · The solar simulator should meet the spectral match classification of B for AM1.5G · The solar simulator should have a spatial non-uniformity classification of C over the target area · The s…
