Description
As part of the PEACEPLUS Action Plan, NMDDC will deliver a series of Collaborative Interaction Programmes under Strand 2 – Thriving and Peaceful Communities. Strand 2 comprises eight priority projects that collectively aim to build capacity, develop leadership, strengthen cross community relationships, provide social and emotional support, and deliver inclusive events, festivals, and community justice initiatives. Within this strand, the Sustaining Cross Community Relations Programme seeks to build on the relationships, trust, and learning developed through previous PEACE and Council programmes. The programme will consist of seven standalone projects, one in each District Electoral Area (DEA), and will focus on engaging individuals and communities who have been less involved in peacebuilding to date—particularly those living in or affected by contested spaces.
