Description

The delivery of the works undertaken by the Contractor under this Contract shall enable the Council to discharge their responsibility of In-Service Inspection and Testing of Lightning Protection Systems. The Contract shall comprise the inspection, test and repair of Lightning Protection Systems. The operative must be conversant with BS 6651:1999 Code of practice for protection of structures against lightning (for knowledge of systems installed to this standard), BS EN 62305 Parts1-4 2011/2012 Protection against lightning series, BS 7430:2011+A1:2015 Code of practice for protective earthing of electrical installations, the BS EN 62561 Lightning protection system components (LPSC) series, and BS7671, as amended to date, Requirements for Electrical Installations IEE Wiring Regulations. The objective of the Contract is for the Contractor to provide planned preventative maintenance of lightning protection systems installed on Council controlled premises and premises that Client provides contract maintenance services to, to ensure that they are maintained in a safe condition so as to prevent risk of damage caused to a property accruing from a lightning stri…
