Description
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew wishes to appoint a supplier to apply Stable Isotope Ratio Analysis (SIRA) and Trace Element Analysis (TEA) to sample material derived from a range of succulent plant species. Objectives of the analysis include: To characterise the chemical fingerprints of wild succulent plants threatened by illegal trade, and their use in determining the geographic origin and provenance of the plant. Exploring the potential of an isotope marker applied through watering, to help trace cultivated plant specimens within commercial supply chains. Please refer to the tender documents for comprehensive details of this project. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
