Description

This contract is for the Planned Replacement of Boilers and Heating Systems under the Housing Investment Programme for Colchester City Council's residential properties. Colchester City Council's housing stock of approximately 6,100 tenanted units and 1000 leaseholder units is managed by Colchester Borough Homes Ltd, which is an Arm's Length Management Organisation, and will act as Contract Administrator for this contract. The Contract Administrator will provide the Contractor with a list of the properties identified in the annual programme. The properties are likely to be spread throughout the borough of Colchester and the Contractor will need to take this into consideration when pricing these works. The list may be added to/deducted from as necessary. The Contractor shall carry out a pre-works survey of all properties in the annual programme. The purpose of the pre-works survey is twofold. The Contractor needs to identify any risk or issues peculiar to the property and consider the needs of vulnerable residents when undertaking these works.
