Description
The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") is conducting this procurement exercise, in accordance with the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102), and intends to establish an Electronic Market Place ("EMP") with Providers with relevant experience and ability for the provision of Supported Accommodation to looked after or care leavers aged 16+. The Council established a 16+ Supported Accommodation Electronic Market Place (EMP) to meet its duties under the Childrens Act 1989 & 2004 when securing a Supported Accommodation placement for either; · a looked after child is placed in an 'other arrangements' placement or · a care leaver is placed in 'suitable accommodation' The Council requires four types of provision, which are aligned with Ofsted's four categories of supported accommodation, as set out below: · Category 1 - Supported Accommodation in a self-contained unit The accommodation is for the sole use of the child or for the child and other individuals living with the child (For example; partner, sibling or children) as agreed by the Council. · Category 2 - Supported accommodation in a shared or group living situation (Ring fe…
