Description
Environmental services contract for Bracknell Forest Council. It is anticipated to consist of 3 'Lots': • Lot 1: Waste Collection • Lot 2: Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance (including Tree Management) • Lot 3: Town Centre (the Lexicon) Cleansing Even though it is anticipated that the procurement will be split into 'Lots', the Council will have the option to combine multiple 'Lots' into a single contract if a supplier wins multiple 'Lots'. Waste collection is a statutory service and it also supports the Council Plan in the green and sustainable environment objectives of getting residents recycling correctly and helping towards meeting recycling and landfill reduction targets. Street cleansing and grounds maintenance are part statutory; they both support the duty of the Highway Authority to maintain a safe highway network. Both services also support the duty of the local authority to maintain a clean environment which is a statutory duty under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
