Description
The London Borough of Sutton aims to transform the borough into a sustainable, green community by 2027, with the delivery of a robust Electric Vehicle (EV) Strategy as a key priority. This project focuses on the implementation of EV charging solutions at approximately 40 pre-selected off-highway sites, including surface and multi-storey car parks, public parks, and leisure centres. The Council's objective is to provide an initial installation of approximately 180+ chargers (based on anticipated bay allocations) to support residents, local businesses, and the transition of the Council's own vehicle fleet, thereby facilitating a borough-wide reduction in carbon emissions. The Council requires a partner for the full life cycle delivery and management of this infrastructure under a concession contract model, which will involve a shared ownership and funding approach.
