Description
The FCDO are seeking a UK-affiliated higher education institutions with a presence in Mauritius to administer a bursary scheme for Chagossians (those born on the islands that now form the British Indian Ocean Territory / Chagos Archipelago and their descendants). The Supplier shall receive up to £1 million in funding from the FCDO to administer bursaries that support Chagossians to improve their employment prospects through completing higher-education degree courses. The successful bidder will design and deliver a bursary scheme for eligible Chagossians. This will enable recipients to improve their employment prospects (the "Impact") through completing higher education courses (the "Outcome"). Successful delivery of this programme will require the following objectives to be met (the "Outputs"): - Eligible Chagossians successfully apply for bursaries and begin relevant courses - Bursary recipients receive a high-quality education and suitable pastoral support Scope The successful bidder will be required to design and deliver a bursary scheme for eligible students who wish to study.
