Early Market Engagement Event - Forest and Climate Leaders' Partnership (FCLP) Secretariat Operational Delivery Partner

Description

Under the UK Presidency of COP26, over 140 governments signed the Glasgow Leaders' Declaration (GLD) on Forests and Land Use, agreeing to halt and reverse forest loss and land degradation by 2030, while delivering sustainable development. To deliver on this commitment, the UK Presidency helped, in consultation with other members, to establish the Forest and Climate Leaders' Partnership (FCLP), a coalition of high ambition governments to work together to deliver the goals of the GLD. To drive ambition, FCLP combines a political platform that keeps a spotlight on forests and provides forcing moments for decisions, with focussed 'Action Areas' that support collective solutions to overcome barriers to forest protection. This programme will support the establishment and running of a Secretariat that will enable members of the FCLP to deliver an ambitious, high impact programme of work from 2024-2030.
