Description
Following completion of the market consultation exercise held in Autumn 2022, the Northern Ireland Department for Infrastructure developed a new procurement strategy for roads construction, road maintenance activities and other related transport/civils works valued up to £5 million which was published in March 2023. This new strategy, known as the Procurement Enhancement Programme, will be delivered through a series of Road Asset Management (RAM) Frameworks. The RAM Frameworks have been developed to provide an efficient and value for money procurement route for the Department for the management of road assets across Northern Ireland. The RAM programme will include eleven frameworks, covering all the road asset management & improvement works the Department undertakes regularly. These frameworks will be procured over a 4-year programme in ten separate procurement exercises. Frameworks will be limited to the following activities: surfacing; surface dressing; structures; road restraint systems; street lighting; small works; improvement projects; and road markings & surface treatments.
