Description
Wigan Council is seeking to establish a Day Opportunities Quality Framework to deliver high-quality, person-centred support for adults with care and support needs across the Borough. The Framework is intended to support a diverse range of adults with differing levels of need. Providers must deliver flexible, responsive and outcome-focused services that enable adults to access the right support, in the right place, at the right time. Depending on individual needs, preferences and agreed outcomes, provision may be delivered: • at different times of the day, including full-day, half-day and bespoke sessional arrangements; • within specialist settings; • within mainstream community settings; • through outreach and neighbourhood-based support; • through a combination of building-based and community-based provision; and • through the appropriate use of digital tools, virtual support, assistive technology and technology-enabled care.
