Description
Newport Town Council invites suitably experienced and qualified contractors to tender for a new contract commencing in time for the provision of Christmas lighting within Newport Town Centre November 2026. Newport Town Council is committed to delivering a high-quality Christmas lighting display that supports local businesses and enhances the Town's festive atmosphere. The Council allocates an annual budget to cover the hire, installation, testing, maintenance, removal and storage of Christmas lighting and decorations SCOPE OF WORKS DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF WORKS • The successful contractor will be responsible for the design, supply, installation, maintenance, removal and storage of Christmas lights and decorations for Newport town centre for the duration of the contract. • The scope of works shall include, but not be limited to, the following: o Design and provision of a cohesive Christmas lighting display suitable for Newport Town Centre o Supply (hire/lease) of all proposed lighting and decorations, excluding Council-owned stock where applicable o Installation and commissioning of the display prior to the festive period o Annual inspection, testing and certification of all ele…
