Description
OCPP and The Government of Belize have identified the need to provide training to the Department of the Environment (DOE) laboratory staff to ensure the DOE can continue to fulfill its statutory duties for water quality and pollution monitoring and to meet emerging challenges. A laboratory technician is required to provide temporary expert services to the DOE for 18 months, Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00, days may vary for fieldwork and allowance will be available for some overtime each calendar month. This work is to ensure the continued effectual operation of the DOE Water Quality Lab whilst its staff undergo long-term training. These services will be generally in regard to the collection of water quality samples, testing, analysis, microplastic testing, and testing of other pollutants. The technician will also provide support in the data entry, analysis, and report writing to support the programs developed through the DOE laboratory.
