Description
As the war in Ukraine takes a toll not only on civilian and military lives, but also on the livelihoods of Ukrainian citizens fleeing war, it is crucial to support businesses to re-establish and recover operations in more secure areas of the country. As more flexible and adaptable SMEs are to become the driver of Ukraine's economic recovery, this project is set to support the Government of Ukraine in designing and piloting SME support policies and programmes that would enable SMEs to operate under the current volatile context of war and post-war recovery. Because of the volatility and unpredictability of the situation, the project will be implemented in three phases (June-September 2022, October-December 2022, January-March 2023). Phase 2 will build on the results of the Phase 1, consolidate and finalise the recommendations into an Outline of the set of recommended policies for effective SME sector support. The team will also continue working on the regional level with the Lviv City Administration.
