Description
1. The primary purpose of this prior information notice (PIN) is to alert potential suppliers to an opportunity in relation to bus services across Windsor and Maidenhead. At present, RBWM envisage 6 packages of services with the lotting structure to be determined. It is likely the opportunity will be formally published in the coming weeks. 2. This contract operates as follows: RBWM provide fixed payments to support the operation of the bus services. Any income yielded from the services, however, remains with the supplier. The contract's status as a concession contract is yet to be assessed. 3. This opportunity is likely to be for an initial term of 5 years with extension options available. The anticipated support for all 6 packages is likely to be in the region of £1.2m - £1.3m per annum. 4. The services are a core requirement for RBWM and it is expected that commencement of the new contracts shall be no later than 1 April 2025. However, this is yet to be finalised.
