Description
UK Parliament is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Parliamentary Estate, which comprises a diverse portfolio of historic, listed and modern buildings and infrastructure. The Estate provides a working environment for both Houses of Parliament and supports the delivery of parliamentary business, as well as providing facilities for Members, staff and visitors. Typical works focus on conservation of fabric, capital asset upgrade and replacement, mechanical, electrical and public health works, digital, telecoms, security and access systems and utilities. Further information about UK Parliament and the Parliamentary Estate can be found at https://www.parliament.uk/. The Parliamentary Commercial Department (PCD) supports with procuring and managing contracts for major and minor construction works, building refurbishment, building security and infrastructure security. BECS covers the provision of a range of consultancy services, including Project Management (PM), Cost Management (CM), Multidisciplinary Design Services (MDS), Feasibility, Commercial and Registered Building Control services.
