Description
NHS Frimley ICB sought to commission a software that can be used by pharmacies and hospitals across the NHS Frimley ICS footprint to translate and print medication information, instructions and warnings. Printed labels in different languages were a requirement, along with bi-lingual labels (English + second language) to support patients, by giving them a better understanding of how to take their prescribed medication, helping to reduce errors, improve medication adherence and enhance patient safety and experience. The purpose and aim to source a software that will improve the quality of services by translating medication directions into other languages thereby supporting people to take their medication correctly and safely. It will help reduce health inequalities by helping people who may not have English as their first language to take their medication as the clinician instructs them to. The Commissioner is directly awarding a contract to Druginfo Ltd (Written Medicine) in accordance with the G-Cloud 13 (RM1557.13) guidance.
