Description
- The proposed scheme comprises the installation of photovoltaic arrays (PV) together with full replacement of the existing central distribution as part of the works on the British High Commission's Main Compound Site in Banjul, The Gambia. The works include: - Installation of 2 No. new Photovoltaic arrays, ground mounting systems, all associated cabling and underground ducting, AC/DC services, including local energy supplier equipment, submitting applications, local energy supplier liaison and export metering systems. - Replacement of the existing electrical main switchgear assembly to enable incorporation of photovoltaic arrays and battery energy storage facilities. - Provision of battery storage facility situated in the generator building storage room adjacent to the main electrical switch room. - Provision of cooling system including associated power supplies within the new battery storage room to ensure the battery units remain at optimum temperatures. - Provision of mechanical ventilation situated in the generator building storage room adjacent to the main electrical switch room. - Survey ground structure / integrity to confirm that the chosen areas can support the…
