Description
Application, Development & Maintenance (ADM) Under the Service Operations Modernisation Programme (SOMP), National Highways is undergoing enhancements to improve Service Operations capability, modernise Services, reshape the Supplier landscape, and enhance the Operating Model of IT Service Operations. As part of this transition towards the target operating model, we are establishing a new central Applications Function. This function will have clearly defined processes and supporting contracts to assume the overarching responsibility for applications across National Highways. In parallel with the establishment of the central Applications Function, we are actively recruiting multiple technical resources. This approach aims to create a hybrid support model for application support, combining internal expertise with external resources as needed. To gain a comprehensive understanding of our application estate, we have conducted a thorough discovery exercise. The findings reveal a significant number of applications, approximately 1200 in total. However, currently only 8% of these applications are fully managed by the Applications Team.
