Description
Mathematics in Education and Industry (MEI), as contract holder for the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP), funded by the Department for Education (DfE), is seeking to select an organisation to provide and manage AMSP support services for schools and colleges in the North-East region of England for the period from April 2024 until the end of July 2025. Currently in the North-East of England, AMSP support services are provided by 3 Area Coordinators employed by Gateshead Council. As a result of internal reorganisation at Gateshead Council, they no longer have the capacity to manage this subcontract and provide AMSP support services. The opportunity is for an educational organisation based in the North-East to be part of the AMSP, a successful and highly regarded programme, supporting schools/colleges to develop their post-16 curriculum so that more students have the opportunity to study AS/A Level Mathematics, AS/A Level Further Mathematics and Level 3 Core Maths.
