Description
Lymm High School is an 11-19 mainstream secondary school and sixth form, located on Oughtrington Lane, Lymm. The site consists of seven blocks, including an on-site leisure facility & swimming pool (which is open to the local community out of hours). There are 23 acres of grounds including an all-weather 3G pitch and sand-dressed artificial turf pitch. Lymm High School was constructed in several phases and is built around Oughtrington Hall which is designated in the National Heritage List for England as a Grade II listed and completed in 1810. The school was enlarged around 1965 and had further significant extensions between 1994 and 2002. Lymm High School has a strong tradition of providing outstanding opportunities for young people and an incredible success rate in future employment, university placements and training. The school ethos and environment are the foundation for learning and enjoyment. Our staff are fully committed to the highest standards, and this is evident by the ever-increasing number of students attending university, particularly Oxford and Cambridge.
